Interact with ChatGPT through vintage iChat app
Powered by a modified version of retro-aim-server which triggers an AppleScript when messages are received to the user with screenname chatgpt which is logged in to the server through aim-for-macos. Thanks mk6i for building these open-source projects!
The AppleScript is super hacky – when it is triggered by an incoming message, it takes a screenshot of the message, uploads that to OpenAI API and uses the text in the screenshot as the prompt. When it receives a response from the OpenAI API, it simulates keypresses in the AIM client and sends the message.
iChat running on Mac OS X 10.2 on the iMac G4 connects to the local AIM server and is logged in as a user with screenname leo.
